Iâve sampled a few of their products but never felt compelled to repurchase. Why? Letâs break it down.
Occasionally, I appreciate âillusionâ skincare, but I prefer products that genuinely work to repair and transform skinâespecially at such a high price point.
Take a close look at the ingredient list of this pricey face cream, particularly the top five ingredients that really count:
And thatâs just the first five. Thereâs nothing groundbreaking there. The so-called âmoisturizingâ components are lackluster: vegetable glycerides, vegetable oil, petrolatum (Vaseline), sunflower oil, and soybean lipidsânone of which are particularly impressive. Hydrogenated oils can clog pores and are often used to extend a product’s shelf life. They create a superficial layer of oil and wax that feels nice on the skin but doesnât penetrate or bring about any real change.
Honestly, I was taken aback by the underwhelming ingredient list, but it becomes clear that youâre paying primarily for the brand name. These same ingredients can be found in much more affordable drugstore products. If this were in a different jar without the Perricone label, would it receive the same praise? I doubt it. It feels pleasant, but thatâs where the benefits end.
