I’ve been using Jeunesse Instantly Ageless for years, but I decided to try this product in search of a more affordable alternative. I assume they all contain sodium silicate for similar results in tightening skin, and Jeunesse is quite pricey, packaged in small vials that lead to a lot of waste.
So far, I’m pleased with the results. My under-eye area appears smooth, and during my initial test, it held up for 8 hours. While I haven’t tested it for more than that yet, it’s a promising start—Jeunesse lasted for 14 hours when I used it.
I’ve seen some negative reviews, which I believe stem from not understanding how to use the product. It requires some trial and error, much like when you first tried applying liquid eyeliner or false eyelashes. This is similar; it takes practice to master.
Remember, the sodium silicate liquid should be applied OVER makeup. If you apply it first and then put makeup over it, it will break down and not work properly. The same goes for sunscreen—apply this last.
Sodium silicate works best with water-based and powder foundations, as oil-based ones can interfere with its effectiveness. When applying it over foundation, stroke it into the foundation in the direction you want your skin to lift—never stroke downwards.
If you find your liquid foundation smearing when applying this, just reapply the liquid foundation under your eyes and try again. It’s easier with powder foundations since they blend well with the compound. I’ve had the most success using Smashbox water-based liquid foundations and E.L.F. powder foundations.

Here’s a tip: I have dry skin, so what I do is apply my moisturizer and makeup first. Once I’m all set, I apply this product on top. This way, it doesn’t dry out my skin or leave marks. It works just as well as applying it beforehand, and I actually think it looks better when applied last. I’m not sure how it works for oily skin, but if you have dry skin, it’s 100% effective, just as I mentioned.

UPDATE: I finally spoke with a real person at Amazon instead of a robot. They informed me that since too much time has passed, I can no longer return the product. I’ve been trying to initiate a return since I received it, but they keep telling me there’s nothing they can do and that I’m just out of my money. I explained that I’ve been attempting to resolve this issue since receiving the product—sending emails, writing reviews, and even contacting the company directly. Yet, they insist that I waited too long. How could that be when I’ve been reaching out since day one? This experience has been incredibly frustrating. BUYER BEWARE!

I was down to my last vial of Instantly Ageless and hoped the new cream would arrive before I ran out. I always panic at the thought of being without it since it really does make a difference!
When the cream arrived, I was relieved—I only had one vial left! I applied the PTR cream, fanned it, and waited about a minute. To my surprise, it worked even better than my previous cream! It went on smoothly without leaving a crusty white residue, and there was no visible outline, which had been an issue with IA. So far, it’s applied perfectly every single time.
I even gave it the ultimate test by sleeping in it for about 14 hours, and it still looked fantastic when I woke up. I probably wouldn’t have needed to reapply for a while. I also appreciate that it comes in one tube instead of multiple small vials. Considering the waste I experienced with reapplications and not getting all the product from the little vials, I believe the PTR cream will actually save me money.
The IA cream has a pink, pasty texture that I found unappealing and took a while to gauge the right amount to use. Often, I got it wrong. In contrast, the PTR cream is a clear, gel-like consistency that applies much more smoothly and, in my opinion, lasts longer.
I’ve seen some comments about a white residue, but if applied correctly, that shouldn’t happen. Just shake the tube well before use and start with a small amount until you find the right quantity for your needs.
I can’t recommend this product highly enough. I won’t be returning to my previous cream, and I don’t think I’ll ever feel the need to look for another.
UPDATE: After over a month of use, I’m still absolutely thrilled with it. I only wish I had discovered it years ago.

I tried it on one eye ring and skipped the other, and the difference is clearly visible. I also did this test with friends, and they were impressed and purchased it. When applied thinly with a suitable brush, there are no white edges. It feels a bit stiff and immobile at first, but that goes away after about an hour. It lasts for about 5-8 hours. Highly recommend!

It tightens the area and lasts all day or night, depending on when you apply it. Although the tube is small, it lasts a long time. It works best on bare skin, but I’ve also used it over a light layer of makeup, which is effective but not as great. I usually apply a mineral face powder on top. After years of using Beverly Hills and experiencing a change in their formula that no longer worked for me, this has become my new favorite.
