It consistently smudges and becomes incredibly clumpy and uneven, regardless of how I try to use the different sides of the brush. Applying it takes me three times longer than my usual mascara because I constantly have to clean up the mess with Q-tips and spoolies. The wand picks up far too much product. I’m not sure if it’s just me or if it’s the brush design, but I genuinely cannot recommend this mascara. Perhaps they’ll reconsider the wand design in the future.

This isn’t what I expected. I was looking for a clear mascara, and I would have been better off with the much cheaper Maybelline Great Lash. I found this one recommended as one of the best clear mascaras, but it’s actually black, and I couldn’t find anywhere in the Amazon description that noted this. On the plus side, it feels light and hasn’t smudged yet (I just applied it and it dried quickly). However, that’s not what I needed. I wanted something I could wear while working (or working from home for now) without worrying about smudging or accidentally pulling out an eyelash when I rub my eyes. It did clump a bit, and while trying to fix that, I lost one of my eyelashes—again, not the point of this product, which was meant to protect and condition my lashes throughout the day.
UPDATE: It’s not so bad after all. A few hours later, I’ve tested it with eye drops and some light rubbing, and it hasn’t flaked or smudged. I still would have preferred a clear mascara, but this one is actually pretty decent.
